After Gmail, Whats App faces global outrage.

Hours after google service faced massive outrage globally, Whats App owned by Facebook went down for several users across the globe. Many users complained of not being able to send messages and some even reported connection loss in various parts of the world. The issue was first reported by Wabetainfo, the Whats App features tracker. Wabetainfo shared this problem through a tweet. However, the application has been restored now as per the latest update by the Wabetainfo.


According to DownDetctor the issue was faced around 9pm in the evening and over 66 percent people faced connection issue while 32 percent could not send or receive messages and 1 percent users had trouble logging in to their accounts. The problem was majorly faced by South America region and some parts of US was affected too.

Whats App went down on the same day google services abruptly stopped working for several users of different countries including India. Out of all services provided by google, Gmail and google drive were affected the most, people had trouble sharing attachments and messages. Every time a user tried uploading attachments there was a pop-up message indicating error. However after some time google restored the Gmail services but the tech giant didn’t reveal what really caused the problem.
