Apple is always serious regarding the privacy of user’s data. According to reports, many apps use an analytics tool to record every swipe and tap users make within their applications.
Apple is cracking down those apps and if such code is not removed then those apps will be kicked out of App store.
Protecting user privacy is paramount in the Apple ecosystem. Our App Store Review Guidelines require that apps request explicit user consent and provide a clear visual indication when recording, logging, or otherwise making a record of user activity.
We have notified the developers that are in violation of these strict privacy terms and guidelines, and will take immediate action if necessary,” the spokesperson added.
Many Developers are using third-party analytics tools to record user behaviour without their knowledge. Glassbox is an analytics tool used by Android and iOS developers. According to TechCrunch, all the sensitive data assumed to be hidden like personal data, credit card details, passwords and passports numbers were visible during screen recording.
