Apple launches second Gen AirPods with wireless charging & More

As we are coming closer to 25th of March for Apple’s upcoming event. More and more apple products are now surfacing up on the website, Earlier new iPads were quietly introduced via their official website and now its the second generation Airpods.

The new AirPods are a step ahead from the first generation which will include a wireless charging case and a new H1 chip that the company claims offers improved battery life and “Hey, Siri” support to trigger the assistant without pressing a button.

Finally, after Samsung, Apple has now provided the feature of wireless charging. This new Wireless charging case works with standard Qi charging, so you won’t require to purchase any new wireless charging pad or so.

Both the second-gen AirPods and the case look virtually identical to the first model, except for a small LED light on the wireless charging case which indicates the battery life of the charging case.

What’s new?

  1. Up to an extra hour of talk time, that’s a 50 percent increase
  2. Connection times are twice as fast when switching between devices;
  3.  “Hey, Siri” support


Apple would sell two variants of the second generation of Apple Airpods. USD199 for wireless charging case variant and USD159 for the normal variant which consists of wired charging case of Apple AirPods.

But if you already have apple AirPods first generation then by just shelling out USD79 you can get wireless charging case for your first generation AirPods
