NFTs, or nun-fungible tokens, are blockchain assets that share a specific identity but can be distinguished by certain characteristics.
NFTs are used by game developers to make unique in-game items like CryptoKitties, and they’re used by artists to sell their creations. They could also be used by museums to collect art pieces, ticket issuers for event tickets, or the government for passports.
If you’re an NFT enthusiast that’s looking for NFT apps on Android, you’re in the right place. Let’s take a look at the best NFT apps that are available on Google Play Store.
Google Play Store: GasMask
Note: some of these apps require MetaMask or some other ERC721-compatible browser like Toshi. As far as I know, Status is not an ERC721-compatible wallet. But it does offer NFT support for ETH & POA Networks (POA20). Therefore if you already have another compatible wallet with ETH or POA Network tokens then you can use Status to manage your unique tokens.
GasMask is currently the best mobile app for managing NFTs (ERC721/ERC20) on Android.
GasMask automatically scans the Ethereum blockchain and displays all your NFTs. This includes not only ERC721 tokens but also other NFTs like CryptoKitties, Etherbots, Etheremon, etc.
When creating a wallet in GasMask you’ll be asked to enter two passwords: one for unlocking the mobile app, another is used for encrypting your private key locally so it can never go online or leave your device unencrypted.
Since this is an open-source project managed by POA Network, you can check out their code on Github.
GasMask is currently available on Android with iOS support coming soon.
Google Play Store: Trust Wallet
Trust Wallet has been around for a while and it’s one of my favorite wallets, not just because it looks very sleek, but also because the developers actually care about the product.
It supports most tokens that are compatible with BIP32, therefore all ERC721 tokens, as well as ETH & POA Network (POA20), will be supported too. With Trust Wallet, you can send and receive your NFTs, securely sign transactions offline, or track your portfolio with advanced charts and graphs. What I like about Trust Wallet is that you’re always in control of your keys because they never leave your device.
Also, it’s open-source, so you can check the code on Github.
Google Play Store: Dapper Wallet
Dapper Wallet is another great option for managing your NFTs. It allows you to store, view, and send ERC721 tokens with ease. You can also add other wallets like MetaMask or Trezor if you want more security by having all your NFTs in 1 wallet.
Note that this app doesn’t support ETH though (it only supports POA Network – POA20).
Google Play Store: Cipher Browser
Cipher browser is a decentralized mobile web browser that runs on the Ethereum network, where developers can integrate their dApps seamlessly into the browsing experience. the best part about the Cipher browser is that your private key is encrypted with AES-256 encryption locally on your device. The app also supports ERC20/ERC223/ERC721 tokens, so you can use it to manage all your NFTs.
Cipher browser is available on Android & iOS.
Google Play Store: Trust – Ethereum Wallet
Trust – Ethereum Wallet by BitPlay is another good option for handling your ERC721 assets. It features a built-in exchange that allows you to trade or sell these assets instantly via DEX or other exchanges, without ever leaving the wallet!
Note that this wallet only supports ERC20 & ERC223 tokens at the moment (not ETH). So if you want an ETH-compatible wallet then go with the Cipher browser.
Google Play Store: Lumi Collect
Lumi Collect is a secure and easy-to-use mobile wallet that allows you to securely store and manage your ERC721 tokens, collectibles, or any other token on Ethereum. If you want to handle only NFTs then this is the app for you.
This app doesn’t support ETH though (only POA Network – POA20). But if you already have POA Network tokens in another compatible wallet then there’s no need for users to buy extra POA tokens just to manage their assets in Lumi Collect. So it’s a good free option if you’re looking for an ERC721-compatible mobile wallet without spending extra money on premium features.
Google Play Store: MetaMask
MetaMask is an Ethereum extension for your browser that allows you to run Ethereum dApps right in your browser without running a full Ethereum node. It can be integrated into Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Brave browsers.
Now what makes MetaMask so unique is that this extension not just lets you store ERC20 tokens but also shows all the transactions being made on your account. So it’s a great option if you want to view & check your NFT balances or trade them within the browser without requiring any extensions.
Google Play Store: Cipher 0x Wallet
Cipher 0x Wallet is an open-source mobile wallet for handling ETH/ERC-20 tokens that’s currently available only on Android. App doesn’t require users to sign up or log in to use it, however, an Ethereum account is required to back up encrypted wallet files.
Google Play Store: Enjin Smart Wallet
Enjin Smart Wallet is a popular mobile app for ERC721 tokens that currently supports over 300+ blockchain assets. App allows users to securely store, receive & send all sorts of crypto assets from ERC20/ERC223/ERC721 Tokens to collectibles and gaming items.
Some of the key features of this wallet include: Allows you to view your current balances, market prices and charts in a clean interface Supports most top-rated NFTs such as CryptoKitties, Etherbots & more Securely save private keys on your device so they aren’t shared with anyone Can be integrated into other apps via Enjin’s Smart Contract tech All transactions can be viewed on an easy-to-understand history screen What makes Enjin wallet unique is that it also supports ETH as well as any ERC721 token. But it’s still not as secure as Enjin wallet unlike MetaMask or Trust Wallet which shows only ERC721 tokens.
Google Play Store: Token Pocket (NFT Wallet)
Token Pocket is a mobile wallet for storing, sending & exchanging ERC20 tokens on Android and iOS . app’s first major feature is its support for NFTs; with the latest update, users can now store ERC721 & NFTs on iOS devices.
