Have Samsung phone?

Those with Samsung phones report that we can  get the dark theme in One UI’s night mode, and that’s still Android 9 Pie. However, there’s a catch that there is a bug that hides the status bar icons.

You can go here and try the Instagram beta app to check if you are able to use the new dark mode or not.

Can’t wait for official release? Get Instagram Dark mode on Android!

Some Android smartphones come with a built-in dark mode, but you need to download a third-party app for most of them. With that said, even if you install a dark mode app, it may not work on your Instagram account. The only real way you can get dark mode on Instagram is by downloading an app called GBInsta.

GBInsta is a improved version of the official Instagram app. It allows you to make all kinds of changes and tweak your Instagram experience to your preferences. The app also makes downloading and uploading images much easier than with the official Instagram app. Here is how you can change the theme of your Instagram account using GBInsta:

  1. Download GBInsta.
  2. Run the app and log in with your existing Instagram ID and password.
  3. Go to your profile page and click on the settings icon in the top-right corner.
  4. Tap “Download Themes,” and press  on “Allow.”
  5. Select the black theme and tap “OK” to restart the app.
  6. Your Instagram will now turn black, but only when you run it through the GBInsta app.

Final words

Though we always recommend that you guys should always use the official Instagram app for your daily browsing. But if you are so keen to see how the instagram dark ui would look like, its the best bet to go by.
