Samsung is reportedly onto creating a two-in-one charger that will charge its smartphones and upcoming Galaxy Watch at once. The leak of Wireless Charger Duo’s packaging ahead of Samsung’s Unpacked press conference confirmed it. The conference will take place at Barclays Center on August 9th.

It can be concluded from the packaging of this Wireless Charger Duo that it will be capable of charging two different devices at once: Either two smartphones simultaneously or one phone and one Galaxy Watch. Both the placement areas sport fast charging technology. Rumours have it that the new Galaxy Note 9 will have 4,000mAh battery, and Samsung has registered a new wireless charger that can improve the already quick fast wireless recharge capabilities of recent Galaxy smartphones. Nobody knows whether the new Wireless Charger Duo will have the ability of higher input.

Earlier rumours said that Samsung will make a return to Google’s Wear OS but with its next smart-watch, it is less likely to happen. Now, we believe that the Galaxy Watch will have Samsung’s own Tizen software.

The Wireless Charger Duo comes as a competition to Apple that working on its AirPower mat. It was announced at last September’s iPhone event. Two way chargers are common nowadays, maybe that’s why Apple has said that AirPower will be able to charge three devices at one go –iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods. Apple has faced major technical hurdles while developing the AirPower, such as avoiding overheating when charging and also in dealing with complex circuitry onboard.

So, the Wireless Charger Duo only charges two devices at once. So far Samsung’s iconic X earbuds don’t support wireless charging. If you are planning to buy Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy Watch together, then this might be a godsend accessory.
