Just one day left for One Plus 7 series to be launched and it can be seen that the company’s CEO Pete Lau is a lot excited for this launch. In a tweet embedded below he has confirmed that One Plus 7 Pro would be having UFS 3.0 storage.
“OnePlus 7 Pro having UFS 3.0 storage means it’ll just be overall faster than comparable smartphones.”

What is UFS 3.0?
UFS 3.0 specification offers over twice the maximum theoretical bandwidth of its predecessor, at up to 2.9GB/s. It uses less power and is quicker than UFS 2.1 (1.2GB/s) and is a lot of faster than the old eMMC we had to put up with for years.
Any other contender?
Samsung’s Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy S10 5G were set to be the first phones to ship with UFS 3.0 storage but got delayed due to issues well known and its likely that OnePlus would beat them this time by providing this feature first in the market in most of the regions.
