ARM's newest flagship GPU will include hardware-based ray tracing for the first time.

The Immortalis-G715 boasts a 15% performance gain over the company's previous generation of premium Mali GPUs.

With last year's Mali-G710, ARM already supported software-based ray tracing.

Following its success with the 8 billion Mali GPUs deployed to date, Arm sees Immortalis as the beginning of a transition to ray tracing on mobile.

Manufacturers are preparing for the arrival of the games after Samsung introduced its Exynos 2200 CPU with hardware-based ray tracing earlier this year.

Today, ARM introduced two new GPUs: the Mali-G715 and Mali-G615

Android phones with Immortalis-G715 GPUs will be available in 2023.
