Barack Obama unveiled his Summer Reading list and Summer Playlist

“I’ve read a couple of great books this year and wanted to share some of my favorites so far. What have you been reading this summer?” He wrote on social media with his shared list.

It includes Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel a Canadian writer.

The School for Good Mothers debut novel by American writer Jessamine Chan, Jennifer Egan’s novel The Candy House and in total 14 books.

Some reactions of writers were “I can’t speak...there are no words”, “insanely happy”, “The very best surprise”, “I’m ... giddy with excitement to learn that he has read and enjoyed The Great Experiment”.

He also included Silverview in his list by writer John le Carré who died in December 2020 at age of 89.

He selected 44 songs. The playlist includes varieties of songs from different genres. It is an eclectic mix of pop, r&b, and hip hop tracks.
