Bryce Dallas Howard Confirms Huge Pay Disparity on Jurassic World

Even nepotism babies are not immune to Hollywood's raging pay gap. Bryce Dallas Howard verified this when she reacted on rumors that she was paid $2 million less than Chris Pratt for Jurassic World.

“I was paid so much less than the reports even said, so much less,” she said, referring to a report that claimed she was being paid $8 million for the sequel compared with Pratt’s $10 million.

“When I started negotiating for Jurassic, it was 2014, and it was a different world, and I was at a great disadvantage. Unfortunately, you have to sign up for three movies, and so your deals are set.”

Howard was continually paid less for all 3 Jurassic World movies.Howard said she’d spoken to Pratt about the pay disparity, leading him to push for equal pay on other Jurassic World–related projects.

"Chris & I have spoke about it," she said. "And if there was chance to move needle on topic that hadn't yet been agreed." I'll do the talking. We're going to get paid same, so don't worry, Bryce."

Even I have to admit, that’s a pretty great show of solidarity.I love him so much for doing that. I really do, because I’ve been paid more for those kinds of things than I ever was for the movie.

On avg, women are paid $1 million less than their male co-stars with similar experience. As reported by Forbes, top-paid actresses in 2018 earned 30 cents for every dollar earned by top-male actors.
