Evangelista settled her lawsuit about a "botched" cosmetic procedure that left her deformed.
The supermodel, 57, took to Instagram Tuesday to announce that her legal battle against the parent company of CoolSculpting, Zeltiq Aesthetics Inc., is over.
She wrote in a statement, "I'm pleased to have settled the CoolSculpting case." She added, "I look forward to the next chapter of my life with friends and family."
It was not immediately clear what was included in the settlement, but Evangelista first revealed the results of the procedure on social media in September 2021.
She claimed at the time that CoolSculpting, an FDA-approved “fat-freezing” procedure, had left her “brutally disfigured” and permanently deformed.
According to Evangelista, she thought she was losing her mind when she was diagnosed with paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH).
PAH is a rare side effect that affects only 1% of patients and causes fatty tissue to thicken and expand.
