Punk's injury may lead to MJF winning the interim title at AEW

On AEW Rampage, CM Punk shocked everyone by revealing he was injured and in need of surgery.

In just two days after winning the AEW Championship, Punk will have to have surgery for a leg injury before he can defend his title.

Punk has not yet announced when he will return. AEW announced shortly afterward that there would be a Battle Royale to kick off Dynamite.

The Battle Royale will take place this Wednesday, and the winner will fight Jon Moxley at AEW Forbidden Door for the title of interim AEW world champion.
