Elon Musk cut $1 billion from Twitter's infrastructure costs

Twitter's new CEO and Head, Elon Musk, is reported to be cutting the company's infrastructure costs by 1 billion US dollars.

According to an internal Slack message reviewed by Reuters, the company is aiming to find a way to save between $1.5 million and $3 million a day from its servers and cloud services.

According to a report by Reuters, Twitter is currently losing about $3 million a day.

After the Musk takeover, Twitter says 50% of staff has been laid off.

Some sources also said that the cost cuts could also come from reduced spending on Google Cloud services.

One source said the Twitter team is trying to determine whether to cut the extra server space that is kept to ensure the platform can handle high traffic.
