Why does Google issue a warning to Android and Windows Chrome users?
Google has recently confirmed the existence of another Chrome zero-day security exploit, making it the fourth this year.
What is zero-day security exploit?
It implies that there is a chance—indeed a very
good chance—that hackers are aware of the problem and are actively exploiting it right now.
The team at Avast Threat Intelligence was the first to identify the most recent issue, known as CVE-2022-2294.
The latest version of Google Chrome is called 103.0.5060.114, and if you have that software update already, then your browser is safe.
You'll be asked to upgrade and restart your software if you're not using the latest version.
