Nvidia cancels a cheaper 12 GB RTX 4080 graphics card

On Friday, graphics card maker Nvidia announced it will be "unlaunching" the 12 GB model of its RTX 4080 graphics card.

According to the company's official brief blog post, the card was "not named correctly."

Nvidia did not provide much context for the decision to cancel the graphic card.

In late September, Nvidia announced two new GPUs, the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080, with 16 GB of video memory, and one with 12 GB.

The price of two RTX 4080 models were expected at $899 for 12 GB model and $1,199 for 16 GB

The RTX 4090, which already launched earlier this week, starts at $1,599.
