Oppo Reno 8 series confirmed to launch in India soon

The new series will include the Oppo 8 and Oppo 8 Pro, but there is no word on the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+, which is currently available in China.

Oppo has yet to announce an official launch date.

Oppo has created a Reno 8 series microsite on its official website.  The Oppo Reno 8 Pro will include the company's proprietary MariSilicon X chip for improved video and still images.

While the company hasn't revealed any details about the smartphones' specifications, a recent report claimed that the Oppo Reno 8 will have the same specs as the Chinese variant.

The Reno 8 will be outfitted with a 6.62-inch display with an FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor will power it, along with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

It will have a 32-megapixel front camera and a triple camera unit with 50-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro).

The base variant of the Oppo Reno 8 will cost Rs 30,000.  The Pro could cost anywhere between Rs 35,000 and Rs 40,000.
