Snapdragon will power Galaxy flagships worldwide, beginning with the S23.

In the Galaxy S flagship series, Samsung's in-house Exynos chipset has been losing momentum to Qualcomm's rival.

In a second-quarter earnings call, Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon said that the Snapdragon chip powered 75% of S22 units.

Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon said “The way you should think about it is Snapdragon will power their Galaxy product line, their Galaxy flagship products,”

The patent licencing arrangement between the two corporations has been extended until 2030, covering 3G, 4G, 5G, and (eventually) 6G devices.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is scheduled to be introduced in mid-November, with the first phones to use it following in December.

The Galaxy S23 series will thereafter be released in early 2023.
