She Grew Up in Lagos. Now She Shoots Royals. The woman behind William & Kate's viral portrait.

A photo dropped. The world stopped scrolling. William and Kate. Arms around each other. Pure royal magic.

But the real story? It's not the couple. It's who pressed the shutter.

Nigeria's President visited the UK for a state banquet at Windsor Castle. And a young British-Nigerian photographer quietly set up her camera.

Kate wore a forest green gown — a direct nod to Nigeria's flag. Plus the Lover's Knot Tiara. The one Princess Diana once wore.

William stood beside her in full white tie, medals gleaming. Their body language said something royal portraits rarely do.

Even Kate's coat dress earlier that day was by a British-Nigerian designer. Nothing about this visit was an accident.

For a visit celebrating UK-Nigeria ties, they didn't pick just any photographer. They chose someone who carried both cultures in her story.

Christianah Ebenezer. Born in Lagos. Raised in London. Her work had already appeared in the National Portrait Gallery and on Elle covers.

On March 18, 2026, she stood inside Windsor Castle and photographed the future King and Queen. Her words after: "A true honour."

This wasn't even her first royal shoot — she'd already photographed the Duchess of Edinburgh. But this one made her name known worldwide.
