Looks like Warner Bros. Discovery’s DC film franchise might have found its new leader

Warner Bros.CEO David Zaslav want to renew company by finding new Kevin Feige to lead its DC Films division. While nothing’s been final yet, it seems as if studio’s pick is longtime producer Dan Lin.

Dan Lin producer of Lego Movie & Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender is top contender to replace Walter as new head & large corporate restructuring that would streamline company’s internal hierarchy.

Post-restructuring, a single executive — potentially Lin — will be in charge of the studio’s film and TV projects and report directly to Zaslav.

Under Hamada’s reign, DC Films put out a variety of features of financial and critical success and always seemed as if its main priority was trying to catch up to Marvel’s Cinematic Universe.

DC films like Todd Phillips Joker & Matt Reeves’ The Batman both proved Warner Bros. didn’t necessarily need a tightly interconnected universe of programs to make its films based on comic books work.

Lin wasn’t being considered to take over DC until recently, his producing credits in television and film very much align with role that Warner Bros. Discovery’s looking for the studio’s new executive.
