TV's biggest night is Monday. Here is every way to watch, from a $0 antenna to a free Peacock trial, and how to catch the show if you miss it.
The 78th Emmys air live coast to coast on Monday, Sept. 14 at 8pm ET / 5pm PT. Mariska Hargitay hosts from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
NBC is free over the air. Plug an indoor antenna into your TV, run a channel scan, and your local NBC station carries the whole show with no subscription.
Peacock streams the show live and on demand. Premium is $12.99 a month with ads; if you joined before Aug. 18, you pay $10.99 until a bill on or after Sept. 17.
Premium Plus is $19.99 a month with fewer ads, downloads and 24/7 local NBC. Amazon Prime members can try it free for 7 days through Prime Video Channels.
YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV and Fubo all carry NBC, so the Emmys play live on your usual NBC channel inside those apps. Already a subscriber? Nothing extra to buy.
Live From E! opens arrivals coverage at 6pm ET. NBC also streams its own red carpet pre-show free on its TikTok from 6:45 to 7:45pm ET.
The Peacock app runs on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Google TV, and Samsung and LG smart TVs. Very old Roku boxes and pre-2017 Samsung sets are not supported.
Peacock keeps the full ceremony on demand after it airs, so subscribers can start from the top Monday night or jump to the big categories later in the week.
The Creative Arts Emmys were handed out Sept. 5 and 6. Their edited broadcast aired on FXX on Saturday and is now streaming on Hulu.
Going into Monday, press tallies put Apple TV ahead with 19 wins, HBO Max on 16 and Netflix on 13. The biggest categories still decide the night.
