Emmys 2026 Live Stream: NBC and Peacock at 8pm ET Monday, With Apple TV Leading on 19 Wins

The 78th Emmy Awards air live on NBC on Monday 14 September at 8pm ET/5pm PT, and the Emmys 2026 live stream runs at the same time on Peacock. Mariska Hargitay hosts from the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live, the same room that just staged two nights of Creative Arts ceremonies.

Those two nights, held on 5 and 6 September, handed out 102 categories before the main telecast, and they left the streaming services in a genuine three-way fight for the night's bragging rights.

Who is winning the platform race so far?

Going into the 14 September show, published tallies put Apple TV in front with 19 wins, HBO and HBO Max on 16, and Netflix on 13. Apple counts a Commercial category win on top of that for a stated total of 20. The Television Academy does not publish an official running total by platform, so treat these as press counts rather than a scoreboard from the organisers.

Apple TV's lead was built largely on Widow's Bay, which cleaned up in craft categories across both nights. HBO Max's push came from DTF St. Louis and the medical drama The Pitt, which went into the season with 25 nominations, more than any other programme.

Enough of the biggest categories are still unawarded that either Apple TV or HBO Max can finish first on Monday. A tie is not far-fetched either: last year HBO Max and Netflix finished level on 30 wins each.

How to watch the Emmys 2026 live stream

• NBC carries the ceremony live coast to coast from 8pm ET/5pm PT on Monday 14 September.
• Peacock streams it live at the same time, and keeps it on demand afterwards.
• FXX airs the two Creative Arts nights edited into a single broadcast on Saturday 12 September at 8pm ET/PT, so the craft awards get a television window of their own two days before the main show.

Peacock is the part worth planning around, because the price moved recently. The Select tier is $8.99 a month, Premium is $12.99 and the ad-free Premium Plus is $19.99 after the increase that took effect in August. There is a cheaper route if you already pay for YouTube: Peacock Premium is being folded into YouTube Premium in the US at no extra charge.

What the night says about streaming

The interesting detail is not the winner but the field. A decade ago the Emmy race was a cable story. This year the three services at the top are all subscription streamers, and the ceremony itself is being carried by one of them at the same moment it goes out on broadcast television.

That is also why the platforms care so publicly about the count. Awards are the cheapest marketing a streaming service gets, and each of these three has been raising prices: Apple TV moved to $14.99 a month in August, and Peacock has now put through four increases in four years. A trophy haul is the argument for why the bill went up.

If you are catching up before Monday, HBO Max's slate is the one carrying the most nominations into the telecast, including its recent weekly releases. Peacock subscribers who want something less strenuous have the full Twilight run that landed on 1 September.
