A photo op at a Las Vegas drinks festival became one of the weekend's strangest viral clips. Here's what happened, and why Depp was in town.
Posing for photos, Depp bit a leaf off the leafy wall behind him and spat it out. Then he went back for a bigger stem and posed with it, drink raised.
It happened at Park MGM during Drink Las Vegas, a four-day food and drink festival on the Strip running Sept. 24 to 27.
Depp was promoting Three Hearts, the rum brand he founded in 2024. Its first release is a seven-year-aged rum made in the Dominican Republic.
In a black waistcoat, cowboy hat and orange-tinted shades, Depp looked in good spirits. Reports framed the bite as a joke for the photographers.
The timing fits his comeback: Lionsgate's thriller Day Drinker, directed by Marc Webb, hits theaters March 26, 2027. Its trailer dropped this week.
