Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Phones: Full List, US Stock and Prices (October 2026)
Qualcomm's own device list names 19 phones with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and four more are confirmed by their makers. For US buyers, the best new option on October 3, 2026 is the OnePlus 13R at $549.99. Samsung's Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra and foldables are sold out new, but Samsung sells them refurbished from $519.
The usual advice is that an older flagship chip is a bargain. In US stores today it mostly isn't. New supply is thin, and Samsung's refurbished Galaxy S24 Ultra ($849) costs only $130 less than its refurbished Galaxy S25 Ultra ($979), which has the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite. An 8 Gen 3 phone still makes sense in a few specific cases, covered below with the prices we could verify.

Which phones have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3? The full list
The list starts from Qualcomm's Smartphone Device Finder. On October 3, 2026 it returned 19 phones (plus Valve's Steam Frame headset) under the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 part number, SM8650. Four more phones are added because their makers' own pages name the chip: the ROG Phone 8, POCO F7 Pro, RedMagic 10 Air and nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version. Models sold only in China are left out. The second column shows who confirms the chip, and the third is what each maker's own US page showed that day.

“Re-Newed” is Samsung Certified Re-Newed, Samsung's own refurbished program. Samsung calls the chip in the S24 Ultra, Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 “for Galaxy”, its own edition of the same generation. RedMagic's store now lists the 11 Pro, 11S Pro and 11 Air instead of the 9 series.

Xiaomi's US site has no phone category: its menu lists wearables, smart home and lifestyle. The nubia Z60 Ultra listing mentions an EU-plug charger plus a US adapter, and neither nubia page's 5G band list includes n71, T-Mobile's low band, so treat it as an unlocked import and check bands first.
Two things are not in the tables. Valve's Steam Frame headset is the one non-phone on Qualcomm's list. Sony's Xperia 1 VI is the one phone we could not check, because Sony's site blocks automated access, so we make no claim about its chip or US stock.
What to buy in the US right now, cheapest first
Prices are what each maker's US page showed on October 3, 2026, before trade-ins and carrier deals. Samsung's come from its Certified Re-Newed page (new battery, one-year limited warranty), OnePlus's from the product data on its US pages, and nubia's from its global store. Re-Newed stock changes by storage size and color. The last column shows the newer phone on the same shelf, because that is the real comparison.

Notes on the table: the OnePlus 13R is the 12GB/256GB model, while the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 13 prices are for the 16GB/512GB model. The Galaxy S25 family and OnePlus 13 use the Snapdragon 8 Elite, and the Z Flip8 uses the 8 Elite Gen 5. A Re-Newed Z Flip7 is $939 but uses an Exynos chip, and the new Z Fold8 starts at $1,899.99. Samsung introduced the Re-Newed S24 line in April 2025 at $619.99 (S24), $799.99 (S24+) and $1,019.99 (S24 Ultra), so those prices have already fallen roughly $100 to $170.
- Cheapest new phone sold as a US model: the OnePlus 13R at $549.99. OnePlus's US spec page lists a 6,000 mAh battery. The catch is software support, which runs to early 2029 (see the update table below).
- Longest software life: a Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+ or S24 Ultra, promised updates to about 2031. But at Samsung's own prices the gap to the S25 equivalent is only $80 (S24), $150 (S24+) and $130 (S24 Ultra). For that money you get the Snapdragon 8 Elite and a support clock that started a year later, so the S24 phones win mainly when a trade-in or carrier deal widens the gap. - Not the OnePlus 12 at $899.99: on the same store, the newer OnePlus 13 is listed at $749.99 in the same 16GB/512GB tier.
- An 8 Gen 3 foldable: the Z Flip6 at $829 is the cheapest we could verify. A Re-Newed Z Flip7 is $939 but uses Samsung's Exynos 2500. Newer flips and rivals are compared in our flip phone guide.
- A gaming phone: we found no 8 Gen 3 gaming phone on sale new from its maker in the US. ASUS has no US buy page we could find, and RedMagic's 10 Air is out of stock. What you can actually order is in our gaming phone guide.
- An import: the nubia Z60 Ultra at $549 costs about the same as the OnePlus 13R, but check US 5G bands and warranty terms first. The same store lists a newer Z70 Ultra at $599.

In late 2026 this matters more than speed. These are the makers' own commitments for the phones you can still buy in the US, with the time left counted from October 3, 2026.

Sources and caveats. Samsung's US announcements (January 2024 for the S24 series, July 10, 2024 for the foldables) promise seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. They give the length, not a calendar end date, so the 2031 dates are our arithmetic from the US launch dates (January 31, 2024 and July 24, 2024), and Samsung adds that timing can vary by model and market. OnePlus's UK compliance statements define the security support period for the OnePlus 12 (model CPH2581) and 13R (CPH2645). Its US store sells models CPH2583 and CPH2647, and the US pages we loaded state no per-model promise. RedMagic's store page says its 10 Air gets regular updates every 1–2 months for 3 years, counted from the launch year, with at least one major Android update. The ASUS pages we could load state no commitment, and the ROG Phone 8 Pro shipped with Android 14.

Phones that look like Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phones but are not
Some lists mix these up, because the names and launch dates are close. The OnePlus 12R is the classic case: Qualcomm files it under the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Each phone below looks like an 8 Gen 3 candidate but uses a different chip.

Two surprises for Samsung shoppers: the Galaxy S24 FE is still sold new in the US from $649.99, and Samsung's own US page lists the Galaxy S26 and S26+ with the Exynos 2600. If you want a Snapdragon Galaxy in late 2026, check the model. The S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S26 Ultra, Z Fold7, Z Fold8 and Z Flip8 qualify; the S26, S26+ and Z Flip7 do not.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 vs 8s Gen 3 vs 8 Elite
Three names, three different chips. This comparison uses only Qualcomm's own product briefs. The performance claims are Qualcomm's, measured against each chip's predecessor, not ours. All three support up to 24 GB of memory and UFS 4.0 storage.

The 8 Gen 3 is also sold in 3.0 GHz and 3.3 GHz versions, so a phone's peak clock depends on the maker. The ROG Phone 8 Pro's spec page lists 3.3 GHz and OnePlus lists 3.3 GHz for the 13R.
Is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 still good in 2026?
On paper, yes for everyday use. Qualcomm's product brief lists a 4 nm chip with eight CPU cores, an Adreno GPU with hardware-accelerated ray tracing and Vulkan 1.3, up to 24 GB of LPDDR5X memory, UFS 4.0 storage, a Snapdragon X75 5G modem, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and on-device AI models of up to 10 billion parameters. OnePlus's US spec pages name the GPU as the Adreno 750.
What it is not is the newest tier. Qualcomm says the 8 Elite's CPU is 45% faster than the 8 Gen 3's, and Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Flip8 now use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. For most buyers the limit in late 2026 is not speed. It is how many years of updates the phone has left.
On games, emulators and benchmarks: we have no lab, so there are no frame rates here for Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves or anything else, and no AnTuTu or Geekbench scores, which vary with a phone's cooling and the app version. Game publishers list their own minimum and recommended hardware. PS3 and Switch emulators on Android are unofficial community projects, so results depend on the app version and GPU driver. Qualcomm's spec sheet lists the graphics features they use, but that is not a promise of playable speeds.

Second, each remaining candidate's own spec page (ASUS ROG, Xiaomi's POCO site, RedMagic, nubia) and OnePlus's and Samsung's US pages for chip names. Third, each maker's US page for stock and price: Samsung.com and its Certified Re-Newed page, OnePlus's US store, ASUS USA, RedMagic's store and nubia's global store. Update promises come from Samsung's US announcements, OnePlus's UK compliance statements and RedMagic's policy text. Chip specs come from Qualcomm's product briefs.
We did not handle these phones or measure speed, battery or cameras, so nothing here comes from our own use. In the US you can still buy a handful: the OnePlus 13R new at $549.99, and Samsung's Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra and foldables refurbished from $519. The longest-lasting choice is a Samsung S24, S24+ or S24 Ultra, with updates promised to about 2031. The cheapest new one is the 13R, with security support to early 2029. No. Qualcomm's Smartphone Device Finder files the OnePlus 12R under the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (SM8550), not the 8 Gen 3 (SM8650). The OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 13R are the two OnePlus phones sold in the US with the 8 Gen 3. Some third-party lists mix the 12R in, so check the exact model name against the maker's spec page before you buy.
Does the Galaxy S24 use Snapdragon or Exynos in the US?
Snapdragon. Samsung's US store lists the Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and its own pages call the S24 Ultra and foldable chips the "for Galaxy" edition. The S24 FE, still sold new in the US from $649.99, uses the Exynos 2400e, so it is not an 8 Gen 3 phone. Samsung's UAE support page lists the Exynos 2400 for the S24 and S24+ in that market.
