Is the Galaxy A35 One UI 9 beta available in my country?

Right now the Galaxy A35 beta is open in South Korea only, on firmware A356NKSUAZZH5 for the SM-A356N model. Samsung has not announced other markets for the A35. Among the other A-series phones in the programme, the A36 beta is running in India and the A56 beta started in South Korea.

Which Galaxy A phones are in the beta now

Samsung has been adding A-series models one at a time over the past week rather than opening the floodgates. Four are in so far, and the country each one launched in is not the same:

Galaxy A36 — running in India, on a build reported as A366EXXUCZZHI and weighing roughly 2.3GB.
Galaxy A55 — added a couple of days ago, with the September 2026 security patch baked in according to reports.
Galaxy A35 — added today in South Korea, on build A356NKSUAZZH5.

The letter in each firmware string is the giveaway on region. The N in A356N marks the Korean SM-A356N variant, so this particular build will not install on a European or Indian A35. Samsung has not published a schedule for widening any of these, and it does not open beta programmes in every market — the A36 beta, for instance, has stayed with Indian units so far.

How to join if you have an eligible A35

Enrolment runs through Samsung Members, not the update screen. The steps are the same as on the flagship betas:

Open the Samsung Members app and look for the One UI beta banner on the home screen.
Tap it and register your device for the programme.
Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install and check for the update.

If the banner is not there, your model or country is not in the programme, and nothing on the phone will change that. Registration also closes once Samsung fills its tester quota, which on past betas has taken hours rather than days.

Why an A35 beta is worth noticing

Beta builds usually start on the current flagships and reach the mid-range after the stable release, if at all. The A35 launched in March 2024 on One UI 6.1 and Android 14, with a promise of four major OS upgrades. One UI 9.0 is the third of those, which leaves exactly one more after this — so this is not a phone near the end of its life, but it is not new either.

Getting a two-generation-old mid-ranger into testing before the stable rollout suggests Samsung wants performance data from slower hardware early. That is the part that matters to owners: bugs that only show up on an Exynos 1380 with 6GB of RAM are the ones a Galaxy S26 beta will never surface. Samsung ran a much narrower programme when One UI 9 beta 2 reached the Galaxy S25, and later widened it to the foldables.

What you give up by installing it

This is pre-release software on a phone many people use as their only phone, and the usual warnings apply. Expect battery drain, app crashes and broken banking or payment apps. Beta builds are also a one-way door in practice: rolling back to stable One UI 8 generally means a full firmware flash that wipes the device, so back up first.

Samsung has not given a stable One UI 9.0 date for the A series. The pattern from previous cycles puts mid-range phones weeks to months behind the flagships, so an A35 owner who sits this out is not waiting long by comparison.
