Neverness to Everness 1.3 Adds Zankou and Duskmoor on PS5, PC and Mobile
Neverness to Everness 1.3 went live on 19 August after a five-hour maintenance window that ran from 06:00 to 11:00 UTC+8, and it opens a new district called Duskmoor. The update is out on PS5, PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store and the standalone launcher, Mac, iOS and Android, and every platform gets the same content at the same time.
Hotta Studio is calling this one "Rising from the Moonlit Fog". The headline additions are the limited S-Class character Zankou, a returning S-Class banner for Nanally, a summer resort area, and a run of beach events that stay open until the end of September.

What Neverness to Everness 1.3 actually adds
Duskmoor is the new explorable district, and it carries two sub-locations: Starfall Bay Resort and Tearlake. The story continues with an episode titled "Fogden Game", and Zankou gets his own Home Time mode alongside it.
The banner side of the patch is split. Zankou runs on the limited "Ravenous Blade" arc, and Nanally returns on "Ready-Ready". Both are live now and both close at 05:59 UTC+8 on 9 September. Hotta has said a second phase follows with Linko, but the 1.3 patch notes only detail the first half, so treat the September line-up as announced rather than dated in full.
- Zankou — limited S-Class, "Ravenous Blade" arc, 19 August to 9 September
- Nanally — returning S-Class, "Ready-Ready" arc, same window
- Duskmoor — new district with Starfall Bay Resort and Tearlake
- "Fogden Game" — new story episode, plus Zankou Home Time
Which events are running and when they end
The summer block runs from 19 August to 30 September, which is a longer tail than most gacha event cycles. "Lucent Tides" is the mystery box event, and boxes open with either Fons or Annulith. "Volley Star" and "Surf Breaker" are the limited-time beach activities, and "Hunter's Crucible" is the combat challenge.
One event does not start with the patch. "Shipwreck Salvage" opens on 28 August, so there is no point hunting for it on day one.
Volley Star also joins the permanent Hethereau Hobbies list rather than disappearing with the event, and it lands there next to two other new hobbies, "Going, Going, Gone!" and "Shadow-n-Seek".
Compensation and the quality-of-life changes
Hotta is sending 600 Annulith in total through the in-game mailbox: 300 for the maintenance itself and another 300 tied to a bug fix. That is two separate mail entries, so claim both.
The smaller changes are the kind players had been asking for. Outfit Rotation lets you cycle cosmetics instead of setting one and forgetting it, and Outfit Discarding finally clears the wardrobe clutter. Photo Mode now works while you are driving or swimming, which it did not before.
Storage and performance on phones
The mobile build wants roughly 20GB free on iOS and Android, and that is before the 1.3 files land, so clear space before you queue the download. On a phone this is a heavy open-world game rather than a casual gacha, and it behaves like one: expect sustained load and heat on mid-range hardware.
If you are picking a phone game to sit alongside it, our round-up of the best gacha games on Android covers the lighter alternatives. Controller support matters here too, and our guide to Android games with gamepad support explains which pads pair cleanly.
How it compares to the other big gacha updates this month
August has been dense. Wuthering Waves pushed its own version update this week, and we broke down the Wuthering Waves 3.6 preload and download size separately. If you play more than one of these, the September banner windows will overlap.
Free currency helps in a month like this. Our running lists of working Genshin Impact codes and Honkai: Star Rail redemption codes are updated as new ones drop.
NTE remains free to play on every platform it supports, and there is no paid entry point for 1.3. Servers came back on schedule.
Frequently Asked Questions
What time did the Neverness to Everness 1.3 maintenance end?
Maintenance ran from 06:00 to 11:00 UTC+8 on 19 August, so servers came back at 11:00 UTC+8. That is 03:00 UTC, 04:00 BST, or 20:00 the previous day in Pacific time. The update was live on all platforms at the same moment.
How much compensation does NTE 1.3 give?
Hotta Studio is sending 600 Annulith in total via the in-game mailbox. It arrives as two separate 300 Annulith entries: one for the maintenance downtime and one attached to a bug fix. Claim both before the mail expires.
Is Neverness to Everness on Android and iOS?
Yes. NTE runs on Android and iOS as well as PS5, Windows PC, Mac, Steam and the Epic Games Store. The mobile build needs around 20GB of free storage, so clear space before downloading version 1.3.
When does the Zankou banner end in Neverness to Everness?
The limited S-Class Zankou banner, on the Ravenous Blade arc, runs from 19 August until 05:59 UTC+8 on 9 September. The returning Nanally banner on Ready-Ready shares the same window. A second phase featuring Linko has been announced for after that.
When does Shipwreck Salvage start in NTE 1.3?
Shipwreck Salvage does not open with the patch. It starts on 28 August, more than a week after version 1.3 goes live. The rest of the summer events, including Lucent Tides, Volley Star and Surf Breaker, are available from 19 August and run to 30 September.
