Neverness to Everness 1.4 Arrives September 30 With Blackbird, Akane Rin and Two Porsche Cars

Neverness to Everness 1.4, titled "For Whom the Verses Mourn", arrives on 30 September and adds two limited S-Class characters, Blackbird and Akane Rin, plus a theme-park district called Pukaland. Hotta Studio and Perfect World outlined the patch on 16 September, and it lands on PS5, PC (the standalone launcher, Steam and the Epic Games Store), Mac, iOS and Android at the same time.

It is the first big content drop since Neverness to Everness 1.3 added Zankou and Duskmoor in August. The Porsche collaboration also returns, this time with two new cars.

What is in the Neverness to Everness 1.4 update

The main story continues with an episode called "The Witch", and a separate side story, "To Us, Back Then", runs alongside it. The new map area is Pukaland, which also brings a location anomaly named St. Arbor.

The banners are split into two 21-day phases, so the whole cycle runs 42 days from launch. Blackbird comes first on the "Foretold Finale" board. She is an S-Class Main DPS of the Psyche element, and her kit applies a Forsaken Feather mark that sets off an area-of-effect Psyche follow-up attack when the active character deals damage.

Akane Rin follows on the "Dazzling Star" board in the second phase. She is also listed as a Main DPS, on the Lakshana element. A third limited board, "Fading Reverie", brings back Lacrimosa in the first phase for anyone who missed her.

The limited boards share a pity counter, so pulls spent on Blackbird carry over if you move on to Akane Rin. Exact switch-over times and the length of the launch-day maintenance had not been posted when this was written. Hotta usually lists them in its patch notes the day before an update.

Events, modes and the Porsche cars

Most of the 1.4 events run for the full patch, from 30 September to 11 November. "Pukaland Travelogue" is the exploration event for the new area. "Terminal Depths" is the combat challenge, "Coal Lump's Treasure" is a PvE defence mode, and "Snap! Golden Crackshot" is a one-on-one mini-game. "Puka Lucky Flip" and several double-reward windows round out the list.

The two Porsche cars come from Mystery Boxes, as the collaboration cars did before, and the boxes open with Fons or Annulith. A Porsche Club activity also adds a classic "Salzburg" livery and its own rewards. No real-money price for a single box has been announced yet.

Quality-of-life changes

The smaller fixes are aimed at repeat players:

• Volley Star, the beach mini-game from 1.3, now supports multiplayer
• Photo Mode gets a follow-camera option in Drone Mode
• The Friends screen now suggests players to add
• Bond gifts can be handed over in one tap, up to the max level
• Character unlock animations can be replayed

Neverness to Everness 1.4 redeem codes

Three codes were shared with the preview: THEWHOOTS, PUKALANDGOGO and a third that has been printed as both WITCHHOUSE and WITCHOUSE, so try both spellings. They are reported to expire on 20 September, well before the patch goes live, so redeem them now.
