Genshin Impact 7.0 Phase 2 Banners Go Live With Flins and Ineffa Reruns

Aditya Singh

The Genshin Impact 7.0 Phase 2 banners went live on 1 September at 18:00 server time, swapping Odette and Arlecchino out for reruns of Flins and Ineffa. Both wishes run until 22 September on Android, iOS, PC, PS5 and PS4, and the phase change happens inside the existing Version 7.0 client rather than as a new download.

What is in the Genshin Impact 7.0 Phase 2 banners

Two Event Wishes run side by side for the rest of the version. Flins headlines The Lone Light Knocks At Night, and Ineffa headlines Astral Actuation. Both are limited five-star Electro polearm users, and both are reruns, so neither is a debut.

  • The Lone Light Knocks At Night — Flins (five-star, Electro, polearm)
  • Astral Actuation — Ineffa (five-star, Electro, polearm)
  • Boosted four-stars on both banners — Aino, Iansan and Lan Yan
  • Epitome Invocation — Bloodsoaked Ruins and Fractured Halo, the two signature polearms

The four-star pool is shared between the two character wishes, which matters if you are chasing constellations. Pulling on either banner feeds the same three four-stars, so you can split wishes across Flins and Ineffa without splitting your Aino or Iansan progress.

When the swap happened in each region

Genshin runs on three server clocks, so the banners did not appear everywhere at once. The 18:00 local server time works out as follows:

  • Asia (UTC+8) — 10:00 UTC on 1 September
  • Europe (UTC+1) — 17:00 UTC on 1 September
  • America (UTC-5) — 23:00 UTC on 1 September

Your pity count carries over. Phase boundaries do not reset the 90-wish soft pity or the guarantee flag on the character banner, and the Epitome Invocation Fate Point behaves the same way it did in Phase 1.

The events running alongside

The second half of the version is where most of the free Primogems in 7.0 sit. Three things are worth putting in a calendar:

  • Great Expeditionist Challenge — 28 August to 14 September, worth 920 Primogems plus a free Diona.
  • Trial of the Bastion — 7 to 17 September, worth 420 Primogems.
  • Overflowing Abundance — 14 to 21 September, doubling rewards from Domain runs.

A new Imaginarium Theater cycle also opened on 1 September, which is the usual monthly rollover rather than anything tied to the banner swap. If you are pulling on both Flins and Ineffa, the Expeditionist rewards are the ones with the tightest deadline — they close eight days before the banners do.

Should you wish now or wait

Nothing about the schedule rewards waiting inside this phase. Both banners close on 22 September, and Version 7.1 is expected to follow on the standard six-week cadence, which would put it around 23 September. HoYoverse has not published a 7.1 date or its banner line-up, so anything circulating about who reruns next is unconfirmed.

The practical read: if you want either Electro polearm user, this three-week window is the whole opportunity, and the signature weapons are only on Epitome Invocation for the same period. If you are saving, the Primogems from the three events above land well before the phase ends.

Running it on a phone

Genshin remains one of the heaviest things you can install on Android, and Version 7.0 did not make it lighter. If your handset struggles, the settings that actually help are frame rate cap, render resolution and shadow quality, in that order. We keep a running list of the best gacha games for Android with pity systems compared, and a set of picks for Android games that run on low-end phones and 2GB of RAM if Teyvat is too much for your device.

Pixel 11 owners should know there is a separate, still-unresolved issue: Google has confirmed that Genshin Impact does not render correctly on the Pixel 11 and that a fix is on the way. That is a driver problem rather than anything to do with this update.

Before you spend, it is worth clearing the freebies. Our list of working Genshin Impact redeem codes is updated as HoYoverse issues them, and the same applies to Honkai Star Rail codes if you play both.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do the Flins and Ineffa banners end in Genshin Impact?

Both Event Wishes run until 22 September 2026. They started on 1 September at 18:00 server time and run for three weeks, closing at the end of Version 7.0. The Epitome Invocation weapon banner featuring Bloodsoaked Ruins and Fractured Halo follows the same schedule.

Do I need to download an update for Genshin Impact 7.0 Phase 2?

No. Phase 2 is a banner rotation inside Version 7.0, not a new version. The client update was required when 7.0 launched in August; the phase swap happens on HoYoverse's side and appears in the Wish menu once your server clock passes 18:00.

Are Flins and Ineffa new characters?

Neither is a debut. Both are limited five-star Electro polearm users returning as reruns in Phase 2 of Version 7.0. If you already own one of them, pulling on their banner adds constellations rather than a new unit.

Does my pity carry over into the new banners?

Yes. Wish counters and the guarantee flag carry across phases within and between versions on the character Event Wish, so pity built up during Phase 1 on Odette or Arlecchino applies to Flins and Ineffa. The weapon banner keeps its own separate counter and Fate Point.

Which platforms is Genshin Impact 7.0 Phase 2 available on?

All of them at the same time: Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The banner swap is tied to your account's server region rather than to the device, so a phone and a console account on the same server change over together.
