PS Plus Game Catalog September: 10 Games, With WWE 2K26 and RuneScape: Dragonwilds
Sony has published the PS Plus Game Catalog September lineup, and it runs to ten games across the Extra and Premium tiers. WWE 2K26 and the survival spin-off RuneScape: Dragonwilds headline the wave, which goes live on 15 September on PS5 and PS4 unless a game says otherwise. Four of the ten are staggered later into the month, and one is already playable.
None of this reaches the Essential tier. The Game Catalog needs Extra, and the two Classics additions need Premium, or Deluxe in the regions where cloud streaming is not offered. Sony's own note on the announcement is that lineups can differ by region, so the PlayStation Store on the day is the final word.
What is in the PS Plus Game Catalog September lineup
Eight games join the Game Catalog itself. The dates below are the ones Sony gave, and where a game is limited to specific storefronts the announcement named the US, the UK and Japan:
- RuneScape: Dragonwilds (PS5) — 15 September. Co-operative survival crafting on Ashenfall, a new continent in RuneScape lore, built around gathering, building and skill levelling up to a fight with the Dragon Queen.
- WWE 2K26 (PS5) — 15 September. Over 400 playable Superstars and Legends, and a Showcase mode built on a rewritten version of CM Punk's career.
- Date Everything! (PS5) — already live, from 9 September in the US and the UK, and 10 September in Japan. A dating sim in which a pair of magic glasses makes household objects dateable.
- Ball x Pit (PS5) — 22 September. A brick-breaking roguelite set in the ruins of Ballbylon.
- Slitterhead (PS5, PS4) — 22 September. Bokeh Game Studio's body-hopping action game set in the fictional city of Kowlong.
- Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound (PS5, PS4) — 29 September. The 2D entry from The Game Kitchen, the Blasphemous studio, set during Ryu Hayabusa's absence from Hayabusa Village.
- Dungeons of Hinterberg (PS5, PS4) — 29 September. Puzzle dungeons by day and social sim by evening, in an Alpine tourist town.
- Sniper Elite: Resistance (PS5, PS4) — 29 September. Rebellion's campaign running parallel to Sniper Elite 5, with co-op and Axis Invasion.
Which of these are PS5 only
Half the Game Catalog wave skips PS4 entirely. RuneScape: Dragonwilds, WWE 2K26, Ball x Pit and Date Everything! are PS5 only. Slitterhead, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, Dungeons of Hinterberg and Sniper Elite: Resistance run on both PS5 and PS4.
That split matters more than usual this month, because the three games arriving on 29 September are all PS4-compatible. A PS4 owner subscribed to Extra gets nothing from this wave until 22 September.
Sniper Elite: Resistance is in two places at once
Sniper Elite: Resistance was already part of this month's Monthly Games, alongside MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life and Chained Echoes, and those are claimable by every tier until 5 October. Now it joins the Game Catalog on 29 September as well.
The difference is ownership. A game claimed from the Monthly Games stays in your library for as long as you hold an active subscription, and it comes back if you resubscribe later. A Game Catalog title disappears the moment Sony rotates it out, whether or not you are still paying. Anyone who has not yet claimed it should do so from the PS Plus September Monthly Games lineup before 5 October rather than waiting for the catalog drop.
What Premium subscribers get
Two Classics arrive for Premium and Deluxe members. Mega Man X Command Mission, Capcom's turn-based RPG spin-off set in Giga City, runs on PS5 and PS4. Metro Redux, the remastered pairing of Metro 2033 and Last Light, is listed for PS4 only.
Sony did not announce any removals with this wave. Titles usually leave the Game Catalog with their own notice a few weeks out, so nothing in the current catalog is confirmed to be on the way out yet.

Why is Sniper Elite: Resistance in the Game Catalog if it was already a Monthly Game?
It appears in both. It has been claimable as one of September's Monthly Games since 1 September and stays claimable until 5 October, which adds it to your library permanently for as long as you subscribe. It also joins the Game Catalog on 29 September, but catalog access ends when the game rotates out. Claiming it from the Monthly Games is the better option.
