Capcom Spotlight Airs September 16 at 7am PDT, a Day Before Tokyo Game Show Opens

Capcom has locked in its Tokyo Game Show broadcast. The Capcom Spotlight streams on Wednesday, September 16 at 7:00 am PDT, one day before the show's business days open at Makuhari Messe, and the company has published the list of games going to its booth alongside it.

When the Capcom Spotlight starts in your time zone

Capcom lists a single start time on its own event page and flags that the date and time can still move. Here is that slot converted:

• 7:00 am PDT / 9:00 am CDT / 10:00 am EDT, Wednesday September 16
• 3:00 pm BST in the UK, Wednesday September 16
• 4:00 pm CEST in central Europe, Wednesday September 16

Published reports put the running time at roughly 40 minutes. Capcom's own page does not list a length, so treat that figure as unofficial until the stream goes live. The description Capcom does give is deliberately vague: the programme brings "the latest news on Capcom titles", with no games named in advance.

Every game on Capcom's Tokyo Game Show list

Six Capcom titles are named on the exhibition list. None of them carry a "playable demo" label at this stage, which means Capcom has not yet said which are hands-on and which are video or theatre presentations:

• Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance — the expansion Capcom has dated for 2027
• Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen — due October 9, 2026
• Mega Man: Dual Override
• Pragmata
• Onimusha: Way of the Sword — already out by then, with a September 4 launch
• Street Fighter 6

Three partner exhibits sit alongside them, and these do carry labels. Monster Hunter Outlanders is down as a playable demo. Airsoft manufacturer Tokyo Marui is running a shooting range. There is also an exhibition for the Street Fighter movie.

Monster Hunter Outlanders is the only playable demo on the list

That makes the mobile game the single confirmed hands-on title in Capcom's TGS listing, which is a notable place for a phone release to sit. Outlanders is being co-developed with TiMi Studio Group for iOS and Android, and has gone through closed beta tests on both. Capcom has still not given it a release date.

Tokyo Game Show 2026 dates and opening hours

The show runs across five days at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, split into trade and public access:

• Business days: Thursday September 17 and Friday September 18, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm local time
• Public days: Saturday September 19 and Sunday September 20, 9:30 am to 5:00 pm
• Final public day: Monday September 21, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm

Capcom is also opening an E-Capcom online store tied to the show, selling collaboration and commemorative items rather than anything you need to be in Japan for.

What Capcom has not confirmed

There is no stage schedule yet, no runtime, and no word on whether Resident Evil Veronica — which Capcom has said is coming in 2027 — appears at all. The Spotlight is the place any of that would surface, and it arrives in a crowded fortnight: PlayStation's State of Play on September 3 and Konami's own showcase the same day come first.

Anything beyond the nine titles listed above is speculation until the stream airs.
