What the Remembered tab does

The point is the stuff nobody clips a tracker to. A passport. A spare car key. The good scissors. Instead of a Bluetooth beacon, you leave Gemini a note — by voice, with a phrase like "Hey Google, remember in Find Hub that I put my passport in my bedroom drawer," or by typing an entry in the app.
Each entry needs two things: the item and where it went. Everything else is optional, and that is where the tab earns its keep:
- A photo — useful when "the blue folder" stops meaning anything six months later.
- A place label such as Home, so entries group sensibly.

Who can use it

It is a memo, not a tracker
This is the distinction worth being clear about, because the tab sits inside an app built around live location. Remembered entries do not update. There is no signal, no Bluetooth, no last-seen timestamp. If you move the passport and do not tell Gemini, the list still points at the bedroom drawer.

The rest of the September drop
Remembered arrived as part of Google's September Android Drop, announced on 1 September. The same batch included Motion Assist, a bubble overlay meant to reduce motion sickness when you use your phone as a passenger, which Google lists as Android 17 only. Guided vision, which describes what your camera is pointed at, and collaborative notes plus custom chat backgrounds in Google Messages round out the set.
