Fortnite FNAF Collab Arrives October 1 With Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy Skins
The Fortnite FNAF collab is real and dated: Epic Games posted a teaser trailer on Sunday, 27 September, confirming that Five Nights at Freddy's arrives in Fortnite on Thursday, 1 October, the same day the Fortnitemares Halloween update lands. Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy are all coming as playable skins, and Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria is being added to the Battle Royale map.
Because Fortnite shares one item shop and one map across every version, the crossover should reach PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PC, and Fortnite on Android and iPhone at the same time. Epic has not announced a launch hour or the version number of the update yet.

The trailer points to 1 October, and the Fortnitemares update is expected the same morning. Fortnite's big seasonal updates normally go live after a few hours of server downtime, so expect a short outage before the new content appears. Epic usually posts the exact downtime window on its status account a day or two ahead.
Fortnitemares is reported to run through 31 October. Epic has a habit of releasing Halloween crossover items in waves across the month, so not every FNAF cosmetic is guaranteed to hit the shop on day one.

- Fazbear-themed Kicks for the shoe cosmetic slot.
- Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria as a location on the island.
Players on the Fortnite subreddit spent the morning picking apart the trailer frame by frame, and the most common question is whether the skins break apart as you take damage. A well-known Fortnite dataminer says they do, but Epic has not confirmed reactive styles, and nothing in the trailer settles it.
Is there a FNAF game mode?
Probably, but it is not official. The trailer shows the four animatronics stalking the pizzeria at night, and several published reports read that as a survival mode where you last out a night shift and then beat the animatronics, possibly taking on their form afterwards. That fits how Fortnite handled past boss crossovers, yet Epic has not named a mode or described its rules.
The collab also leaked before today. A datamine of a recent Rocket League update, another Epic game, turned up a player title reading "I Always Come Back", a line tied to the Five Nights at Freddy's series. Today's trailer is what turns that leak into a confirmed event.
How much will the FNAF skins cost?
Epic has not announced prices. Crossover outfits in Fortnite are almost always sold in the Item Shop for V-Bucks rather than earned in the Battle Pass, and four-character crossovers usually come with a bundle option. Treat any V-Buck figure you see before 1 October as a guess.
