How much does the Clicks Communicator cost?

The Clicks Communicator costs $499 if you pre-order by September 30, 2026. From October 1 it moves to its regular price of $649. Taxes, duties and shipping are added at checkout in most regions for new orders.

When does the Clicks Communicator ship?

Clicks says it is on track to start shipping the Communicator in December 2026. Orders go out roughly in the order reservations were placed, but certification, the colour and keyboard variant you chose and your region can change the exact date.

Can the Clicks Communicator be your only phone?

Yes. It is a standalone Android 17 phone with 5G, Wi-Fi, the Play Store and nano-SIM plus eSIM support. It was first pitched as a companion to a main phone, but Clicks now says it works fine as a primary device. Cellular calls need their own SIM or eSIM line.

Do early buyers pay more for the 12GB RAM upgrade?

No. The move from 8GB to 12GB of RAM and the switch to a 4,350mAh lithium-ion battery apply to launch-price orders at no extra cost. You do need to finish configuring and paying for a reservation by September 30 to keep the $499 price.

Is the Clicks Communicator available in India?

Not yet. Clicks is not accepting Communicator orders in India and says it plans to announce a launch there later. It ships to more than 60 other countries across North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Oceania.

Clicks Communicator: $499 Until Sept 30, Then $649

Clicks will start shipping the Communicator, its Android phone with a built-in physical keyboard, in December, and the $499 pre-order price ends on September 30. From October 1 the phone moves to its full price of $649, a $150 jump for anyone who waits.

The company also raised the memory from 8GB to 12GB of RAM, confirmed Android 17 out of the box and changed the battery, all without charging early buyers more. Reservation holders began receiving invitations on September 18 to lock in their final configuration.

$499 now, $649 from October 1

The Clicks store lists the launch offer as $499 USD against a regular price of $649 USD and says it ends on 30 September. Some early coverage rounded the full price to $650; the official store figure is $649. Prices are quoted in US dollars, and Clicks calculates local taxes, duties and shipping at checkout in the regions where it can.

If you already put down a deposit, September 30 matters twice. That is the deadline to configure your order and pay the balance. Clicks says an unpaid balance gets the deposit refunded, and the launch price is lost with it.

What changed in the final hardware

Clicks first showed the Communicator at CES in January as a companion device to sit alongside a main iPhone, Galaxy or Pixel. Buyers told the company they wanted it as their only phone, and the spec sheet has moved accordingly.

Memory: 12GB of RAM, up from 8GB, with 256GB of storage and a microSD slot for cards up to 2TB.
Battery: 4,350mAh lithium-ion. Clicks dropped silicon-carbon cells after finding they failed standard battery tests more often in its own testing.
Software: Android 17 at launch, with support promised through at least Android 20 and five years of security updates.
Chip: MediaTek Dimensity 8300 (MT8883), a 4nm 5G platform.
Screen: 4.03-inch AMOLED at 1080 x 1200.
Cameras: 50MP rear with optical stabilisation, 24MP fixed-focus front.
Everything else: Qi2 wireless charging that works with MagSafe accessories, USB-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a fingerprint sensor in the spacebar, and nano-SIM plus eSIM with both active at once.

It measures 130.5 x 78.63 x 12mm and weighs 170g. Keyboard layouts are QWERTY, AZERTY, QWERTZ, Korean and Arabic, tied to the region you order from.

The RAM bump runs against the rest of the market. Memory costs have pushed phone makers the other way this year, which is one reason the Pixel 11 costs more than its predecessor.

Cases, Clicks Care and a Clicks Mobile eSIM

Clicks is selling dbrand's MNML case at $39 and the Prism screen protector, which comes with an alignment tray, at $35, according to reports. Its own Ring bumper costs $49, and extra Charging Covers that swap the back design run $50 or $80 depending on material.

Two services arrive with the phone. Clicks Care is an accidental-damage plan reported at $129 for two years with a $49 deductible, available in the US and Canada. Clicks Mobile is a new eSIM voice and data service for the US and UK, with two months free for owners who activate at launch.

Key dates for reservation holders

September 30: last day to configure, pay the balance and keep the $499 price.
October 31: last day to change your configuration or add accessories by emailing Clicks support.
November 30: last day to change your shipping address.
December: shipping starts, earliest reservations first. Certification, colour and keyboard variant and your region can shift exact timing.

Where the Communicator ships

Clicks ships to more than 60 countries, including the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK, much of Europe, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. India is the notable exception: Clicks is not taking orders there and says a launch will come later. The phone is sold unlocked with 5G and LTE band support aimed at carriers worldwide.

For a traditional cellular number on the Communicator you need a second SIM or eSIM line. Calls through WhatsApp, Telegram and similar apps carry over from your main phone. Because it runs full Android 17 with the Play Store, it can also replace that phone entirely.
