ESPN Unlimited on YouTube TV Is Live at No Extra Cost on the $82.99 Plan

ESPN Unlimited is now live inside the YouTube TV app, and subscribers on the $82.99-a-month main plan pay nothing extra for it. Thousands of additional live events a year now sit in the same guide as every other channel, instead of behind a separate app and a separate login.

In practice that means U.S. Open tennis, NCAA college football, PGA Tour golf, WWE Premium Live Events, LaLiga and out-of-market NHL games all play where you already watch. The rollout also brings a reworked live guide and ESPN Fantasy Football support, both live from today.

What does ESPN Unlimited on YouTube TV actually add?

The ESPN and ESPN2 linear channels were already part of the package. Unlimited stacks these on top:

  • ESPNU, ESPNews and ESPN Deportes
  • SEC Network and SECN+
  • ACC Network and ACCNX
  • Thousands of extra live events each year that never air on a linear channel
  • ESPN originals and films, plus the complete 30 for 30 documentary library
  • Studio programming including The Rich Eisen Show

YouTube TV's own features carry across to all of it. Unlimited DVR, key plays, live scores and stats, and multiview work on ESPN Unlimited content the same way they do on the rest of the service.

Does it cost anything extra?

No. Anyone on the main YouTube TV plan at $82.99 a month, or on any plan that includes sports, gets it at no additional charge. There is no separate add-on to buy and no upgrade step.

That is worth putting next to the standalone price. Bought on its own, ESPN Unlimited goes from $29.99 to $31.99 a month on 17 September, and the annual plan rises from $299.99 to $319.99. YouTube TV subscribers are not affected by either increase. Bundling has been the pattern across the industry this year — the YouTube Premium and Peacock bundle works on the same logic, and the Apple TV and Peacock bundle just went up in price.

What changed in the guide?

The live guide now surfaces three rows of currently airing ESPN Unlimited events, plus a dedicated network row for browsing by channel. When a game carries more than one feed, the station picker lists the options with clear labels — different commentary languages, home and away feeds, and alternate camera angles.

The idea is that you no longer have to know which ESPN channel a game is on. It is a similar direction to the free live channel grids showing up elsewhere, including the Live TV app that launched on PS5 this week.

How do I connect ESPN Fantasy Football?

YouTube TV's Fantasy View feature now supports ESPN Fantasy Football. Open YouTube TV settings and link your ESPN account, and Fantasy View will track your roster during live NFL games. Do it before the season starts rather than mid-game.

Why did this take until September?

It comes out of the carriage deal Google and Disney signed in November 2025, which ended a two-week blackout of Disney-owned networks on YouTube TV. ESPN Unlimited access reached subscribers through account linking earlier in the summer, but the live content stayed in the ESPN app. Today's step is the part people were actually waiting for: the games playing inside YouTube TV itself.

Other pay-TV services already carried ESPN Unlimited, among them Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, DirecTV, Spectrum TV, Verizon Fios, Cox and Xfinity. YouTube TV was the notable holdout, and at 2026 prices — after a year in which nearly every service raised rates, including Peacock's fourth increase in four years — a large block of sports content arriving without a price bump is the rarer outcome.

If you subscribe already, there is nothing to activate. Open the app and the extra ESPN rows should be in the guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to pay extra for ESPN Unlimited on YouTube TV?

No. It is included at no additional cost on the main YouTube TV plan, which is $82.99 a month, and on any plan that includes sports. There is no add-on to purchase and nothing to upgrade.

What channels does ESPN Unlimited include?

Beyond ESPN and ESPN2, it adds ESPNU, ESPNews, ESPN Deportes, SEC Network, SECN+, ACC Network and ACCNX, plus thousands of live events each year that never air on a linear channel.

Is ESPN Unlimited getting more expensive?

The standalone subscription rises from $29.99 to $31.99 a month on 17 September 2026, and the annual plan goes from $299.99 to $319.99. YouTube TV subscribers are not affected, because their access is bundled.

Open YouTube TV settings and link your ESPN account. Once connected, the Fantasy View feature tracks your ESPN Fantasy Football roster during live NFL games.

Do I need to activate anything to start watching?

No. If your plan already qualifies, the ESPN Unlimited rows appear in the live guide automatically. Signing in to the separate ESPN app is no longer required to watch the events inside YouTube TV.
