One UI 9 Stable Reaches Samsung Galaxy S25, Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 in Korea First, With No US Date Yet
Samsung began rolling out stable One UI 9, built on Android 17, to the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25 Edge, Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 on Monday, September 28, 2026. The rollout started in South Korea only. Samsung has not given a US date for any of these phones, so US owners will not see the update yet.

Which Galaxy phones are getting One UI 9 today?
Stable One UI 9 went out to Samsung's 2025 flagships in two waves on September 28, both in South Korea. The Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra came first, along with the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7. The Galaxy S25 Edge and Galaxy S25 FE followed a couple of hours later. The Galaxy Z TriFold also picked up One UI 9 in Korea the same day.
That is the same September 28 date Samsung's Thai newsroom had listed for these phones, as we covered in our report on Samsung's One UI 9 schedule for the Galaxy S25, Z Fold7 and Z Flip7. So far, though, only Korean units have been reported with the stable build.

Two notes on those sizes. Reports put the beta-to-stable Galaxy S25 download at "around 500MB" and "roughly 535MB"; both describe phones already on the One UI 9 beta, which only need a small patch. Phones coming straight from the older stable software get the full package, which is why the non-beta Galaxy S25 Ultra download is close to 4GB. Budget for that on Wi-Fi.
When will US Galaxy S25 phones get One UI 9?
Samsung has not announced a US date for One UI 9 on the Galaxy S25, Z Fold7 or Z Flip7. Early reports expect other countries to follow within days to a couple of weeks, but none of that is confirmed.
The Galaxy S26 is the best guide to what US owners can expect. Stable One UI 9 started on the Galaxy S26 in Korea on September 16 and reached US Galaxy S26 phones on T-Mobile on September 23, as we reported in our story on the US Galaxy S26 rollout. If the Galaxy S25 follows the same path, US units could see it in about a week, but that is a pattern, not a promise.
Where the US Galaxy S26 rollout stands now
The US Galaxy S26 rollout has widened since our last report. Samsung's firmware listings now include T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile and US Cellular models of the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra. US phones that were enrolled in the One UI 9 beta are getting a 644.92MB stable update, and the notice on that download says the beta program has ended. One owner reported the update on an unlocked Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung has not listed Verizon or AT&T models or given a date for them.
What One UI 9 adds, from Samsung's official changelog
Samsung has now published the full stable One UI 9 changelog for the Galaxy S26. Reports on the Galaxy S25 and Z7 builds describe the same headline features, including My FanCam, Now Nudge and the new Quick Panel. The changes most owners will notice:
- My FanCam: pick a person in a video and One UI 9 tracks and crops the footage around them.
- Now Nudge: suggestions now show up in conversation notifications and in a floating button.
- Interpreter: conversation mode lets you scroll back through what was said while it keeps translating.
- Quick Panel: you can rearrange controls and resize the brightness and volume sliders.
- Location indicator: a blue indicator appears at the top of the screen when an app uses your location.
- Emergency lockdown: holding the Volume down and Side keys locks the phone and turns off fingerprint and face unlock until you enter your PIN, pattern or password.
- Samsung Health: a redesigned app with a customizable home screen, sleep vitals, a heart health score and cardio load tracking.
- Bixby: raise the phone to your mouth to talk to Bixby without the wake word.

How to check for One UI 9 on a Galaxy S25
Open Settings, tap Software update, then tap Check for updates. If One UI 9 has reached your phone, it will offer the Android 17 package and show its size. Back up your phone first, and use Wi-Fi for the non-beta download, which runs past 3GB on the Galaxy S25 Ultra and S25 Edge.
