The company has not named the device outright, but every detail in the invite lines up with the Galaxy S26 FE, the mid-range model that has been leaking for weeks.

The stream starts at 9 p.m. KST on August 27, which works out to 5 a.m. PDT, 8 a.m. EDT, 1 p.m. BST and 2 p.m. CEST the same day. Samsung says it will carry the event live on Samsung.com and its YouTube channel, so no ticket or press credential is needed to watch.

Why this points to the S26 FE, not a new S26

Samsung already launched the standard Galaxy S26 lineup back in March 2026, so this is not a repeat of that announcement. The invitation's own language is the giveaway: it promises to bring "Galaxy S26 experiences from camera to AI, along with the latest One UI," to people "who look for what truly matters most to them" — phrasing that describes a cheaper spin-off of an existing flagship, not a new number in the S-series. Samsung's Fan Edition line has followed roughly a one-year cadence since the Galaxy S21 FE, and it has been close to a year since the Galaxy S25 FE went on sale, so the timing fits too.

• A triple rear camera system: 50MP main, 12MP ultrawide and 8MP telephoto, plus a 12MP front camera

If those numbers hold, the S26 FE would land as a modest step over the Galaxy S25 FE rather than a dramatic redesign — a pattern the Fan Edition line has followed in most of its past generations.
