WoW Trading Post September Rotation Is Live With Three Leafmimic Mounts, One of Them Free
The WoW Trading Post September rotation went live with the monthly reset, and the headline additions are three colour variants of the Leafmimic chameleon mount — one of which costs nothing but time. Blizzard's September selection covers 43 new items and 22 bonus items on retail World of Warcraft, and none of it touches the Classic clients.
What the WoW Trading Post September rotation costs
Trader's Tender prices are set per item, and the new mounts sit at the top end. The Crested Verdant Leafmimic and the Crested Aqua Leafmimic are 500 Tender each. The Cinder-Plumed Highland Gryphon is the most expensive new mount on the board at 650. Gummi, this month's new battle pet, is 250.
The cheaper end is where the month stretches furthest. Weapon appearances start around 30 Tender, and the Grand Pyrestone War Axe (two-hand) is 150 while the Plunderlord's Radiant Sigil staff is 100. Two toys are worth flagging: the Colorful Beach Chair at 200 and the X-treme Water Blaster Display at 350.

How to get the free Crested Ember Leafmimic
The third chameleon is the one you do not buy. The Crested Ember Leafmimic, a red-scaled variant, is September's Traveler's Log bonus reward, handed out for filling the month's activity bar rather than for spending currency. That makes it the only guaranteed mount this month for a player who logs in and plays normally.
The maths on Tender is the part people get wrong. Blizzard deposits 500 Trader's Tender at the start of the month for anyone with active game time, and the Traveler's Log pays out up to 500 more across its activities. A full month is therefore 1,000 Tender — enough for one 500 mount plus change, or two of the cheaper cosmetics. You cannot buy Tender with real money.
The Outlet vendors are back for BlizzCon
Returning stock is handled by the Outlet vendors, who are standing in the Forgegrounds of Dornogal and in Silvermoon City again this month. September's returning pool is large: roughly 59 mounts, pets and toys, plus 109 armour appearances and around 140 weapon appearances that have all cycled through the Post before. The theme is friendship, timed to BlizzCon 2026 on 12 and 13 September.
Among the returning toys, the Ethereal Transmogrifier is listed at 300 Trader's Tender in published reports, down from the 500 it carried previously. It summons an NPC who lets you change appearances anywhere, including places where mounts are blocked, and other players can use the one you drop. It is not usable in the Exile's Reach starting zone, so a fresh character needs to reach level 10 first. Blizzard has not published a price list confirming that figure.
How long you have
The Post rotates at the start of each month, so everything above is gone when October's selection replaces it. Unfinished Traveler's Log progress does not carry across, which is the practical deadline: the free mount has to be earned inside September. Unspent Trader's Tender itself stays on your account.
This is a subscription perk rather than a storefront, which puts it closer to the monthly console waves than to a paid cosmetic drop. Compare it with the September Game Pass wave and its removals, or the PS Plus September line-up, both of which also run on a monthly clock.
