Google Confirms Pixel 11 Pro Fix Coming for Static Audio in Video Boost

Google has confirmed a fix is on the way for a bug that ruins recordings on the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL, after days of complaints about static audio bursts in videos shot with Video Boost. A company statement says a software fix has already been developed and will roll out "in the coming weeks" through the Camera app itself, rather than waiting for a full Android update.

What the bug actually does

Owners started reporting the problem in late August: videos recorded with Video Boost enabled pick up periodic bursts of static, some describing it as sounding like a Bluetooth speaker losing its connection every few seconds. It shows up most reliably in 4K60 clips, and because Video Boost processing happens after the fact, affected footage generally cannot be re-shot or salvaged once the recording is done.
