Apex Legends Midseason Update Buffs Conduit, Fuse and Catalyst on September 14
Respawn has laid out the Apex Legends midseason update arriving on 14 September, and three legends carry the bulk of it: Conduit, Fuse and Catalyst all get reworked kits and rebuilt upgrade trees. The patch covers every platform Apex runs on — PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through the EA app, Steam and the Epic Games Store.

What the Apex Legends midseason update changes for Conduit
Conduit's tactical keeps its damage numbers but stops hiding information. Her shield bar now previews how much temporary shield is on the way, so you can see whether a teammate is about to be topped up before you commit to a push.
Her ultimate is the bigger change. The jammers deploy faster, spawn higher off the ground and land closer together, and you get the option to lay them out in a forward line rather than a cluster. Respawn has also cleaned up the HUD targeting visuals so it is clearer where the ultimate will actually land.
Both of her Level 2 upgrades have been thrown out and replaced. Concurrency lets her refire the ultimate within 10 seconds, and Jammed Up widens the jammer radius and adds an information-denial debuff to anyone caught in it.
Fuse loses two upgrades and gains their effects for free
Fuse's rework is mostly a consolidation. Wreckless, the explosive-resistance upgrade, is gone from the tree and folded into his base kit at reduced strength — so every Fuse gets it from the drop, but no Fuse gets the full old version. Knuckle Jumper gets the same treatment: it is now baseline, with weaker jump power and without the cooldown reduction it used to carry. His tactical cooldown drops to compensate.
The Motherlode ultimate raises faster, has an adjusted firing arc, less damage falloff and quicker mini-bomb detonations. Two new Level 3 upgrades take the vacated slots: Big Bang and Sticky Bomb.
Catalyst trades her ferrofluid immunity for stronger doors
Catalyst is the one legend here whose package is not purely positive. She loses her passive immunity to enemy ferrofluid, which means a rival Catalyst's spikes now slow her the same way they slow everyone else.
In exchange, her tactical is meaningfully better in the situations people actually use it: traps auto-reinforce and rebuild doors instead of needing to be reapplied, and the cooldown is shorter. The Dark Veil ultimate deploys more smoothly, and allies passing through the wall no longer get blinded by it — a long-running complaint that had teams walking around their own cover. Sole Piercer is removed from her tree and Ferro-Frenzy arrives at Level 3.
Which weapons are being buffed
Three guns are named for buffs, though Respawn has not published the numbers yet:
- Triple Take
- Bocek Compound Bow
- Charge Rifle
That list follows a season-start patch that nerfed the R-99, Alternator, RE-45 and Hemlok alongside an energy weapon overhaul and the new Corrupted Attachments. Respawn describes the combined effect as the biggest shift in the weapon meta in more than a year, and the midseason picks are consistent with that: all three are long-range or charge-up options that lost ground to close-quarters guns.
The exact per-weapon values will land with the midseason patch notes on 14 September, not in the design blog. If you follow live-service balance changes closely, the same pattern is playing out elsewhere this month — see our breakdown of The Finals update 11.9.0 and its cloaking device nerf and the PUBG update 43.1 LMG nerfs.
What is not in this update
No ranked changes are mentioned. Neither is a new mode, a map rotation shift or a collection event. This is a balance patch and nothing else, which is worth knowing before 14 September if you were expecting a midseason content drop on the scale of a season launch. Anything beyond the legend and weapon changes described here is unconfirmed until the patch notes go up.
Apex remains PC-and-console only; there is no current Android or iOS version, so nothing here applies to phones. Frequently Asked Questions
When does the Apex Legends midseason update come out?
The Apex Legends: Marked midseason update goes live on 14 September 2026. Respawn published the design notes explaining the changes on 10 September, four days ahead of the patch itself. The full numerical patch notes arrive on the day the update ships.
Which legends are being buffed in the Apex Legends midseason update?
Conduit, Fuse and Catalyst. Conduit gets a faster, more readable ultimate and two brand-new Level 2 upgrades. Fuse has Wreckless and Knuckle Jumper folded into his base kit at reduced strength, with Big Bang and Sticky Bomb replacing them at Level 3. Catalyst gets self-reinforcing door traps and a Dark Veil that no longer blinds her own team.
Is Catalyst being nerfed in this update?
Partly. Catalyst loses her passive immunity to enemy ferrofluid, so an opposing Catalyst's spikes will now slow her like any other player. Everything else in her package is a buff, including a shorter tactical cooldown and traps that rebuild doors automatically.
Which weapons are getting buffed?
The Triple Take, Bocek Compound Bow and Charge Rifle are all named for buffs. Respawn has not published the numbers, which will come with the patch notes on 14 September. These follow season-start nerfs to the R-99, Alternator, RE-45 and Hemlok.
What platforms does the Apex Legends midseason update cover?
All of them. The update applies to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through the EA app, Steam and the Epic Games Store. Apex Legends is not available on Android or iOS.
