Moto Watch Ultra Returns Motorola to Wear OS at $349.99, Out September 10
Motorola is back in the Wear OS business. The company used IFA 2026 in Berlin to launch the Moto Watch Ultra, a 46mm stainless steel smartwatch running Wear OS 6, priced at $349.99 and going on sale in the United States on September 10.
It is also the first Motorola watch with built-in LTE, which means calls, texts and notifications work with the phone left at home. Buyers get Google Play, Google Wallet payments and a health stack licensed from Polar rather than one Motorola built itself.
Price, dates and where you can actually buy it
This is a US launch first. The unlocked watch goes on sale at motorola.com on September 10 at $349.99. Verizon follows on September 24. Motorola lists T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, AT&T, Xfinity Mobile and Consumer Cellular as coming in the following months, and says pricing varies by channel — so the carrier versions may not all land at $349.99.

Charging is magnetic over USB-C. Motorola's headline claim is 24 hours of use from a 15-minute top-up, but that figure depends on a 30W or higher adapter, and the adapter is not in the box. Plug it into an old 5W brick and the number will not hold.
Polar supplies the fitness brain
Rather than write its own training algorithms, Motorola licensed Polar's. That brings Nightly Recharge for overnight recovery scoring, Sleep Plus Stages for multi-stage sleep tracking, Serene guided breathing with live biofeedback, Energy Sources, Smart Calories, activity scores and intensity zones, inactivity alerts and a Running Coach with guided workouts.
It is a meaningful shortcut. Polar's recovery and sleep models have years of refinement behind them, which is exactly the part first-party wearable software usually gets wrong. Whether the data syncs anywhere beyond Motorola's own app is the open question.
Two firsts on one wrist
Two things here are new for Motorola. The LTE radio is one — every previous Moto Watch needed a phone nearby. The other is Qira, Motorola's assistant, which reaches a wearable for the first time and answers to "Hey Qira" on the watch itself. Gemini is on board too, since this is a full Wear OS 6 device, so there are effectively two assistants sharing a 1.5-inch screen.
That duplication is not unique to Motorola. Google has been layering Gemini across Wear OS watches for months, and every partner now has to decide how much of its own voice software to keep.
Where it sits
At $349.99 the Moto Watch Ultra lands directly against the Pixel Watch and Galaxy Watch, in a category that has become unusually busy this year — Huawei's Watch GT 7 and a run of IFA launches are all chasing the same buyer. Motorola's pitch is the combination: LTE and stainless steel at a price where rivals often charge extra for the cellular model.
The gap is software support. Motorola has not published how many years of Wear OS updates the watch will receive, and that matters more on a $350 wearable than the spec sheet does.
