Square Enix TGS 2026 Lineup Makes FF7 Revelation and Resonance Playable
Square Enix has published its Tokyo Game Show 2026 booth lineup, and the two demos on the floor are Final Fantasy VII Revelation and Final Fantasy Resonance, playable on all five show days. The Square Enix TGS 2026 lineup also lists Kingdom Hearts IV for a late 2027 release on Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and PC, alongside a third playable build of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined that is restricted to the public days.
Tokyo Game Show runs 17-21 September 2026 at Makuhari Messe. It is the show's 30th anniversary and its first five-day edition: 17 and 18 September are business days, with public admission on the 19th, 20th and the 21st, a Japanese public holiday.
What's playable at the Square Enix TGS 2026 booth
Three titles are hands-on, and the access rules differ between them. Final Fantasy VII Revelation and Final Fantasy Resonance are available across all five days, business days included. Dragon Quest VII Reimagined is playable only on the general admission days, and it sits in the Family Game Park area rather than the main Square Enix booth.
The Resonance demo on the show floor is set up with three separate save files, so attendees can pick a starting point instead of being locked to one slice. Anyone who plays it gets a retro-styled game box and a Fina trading card promo. On the public days there is also an FFVII Revelation x FFXIV bag, handed out while supplies last.

The Dragon Quest XI S date is the one worth circling. A Switch 2 version lands on 24 September, a week after the show opens, which makes it the only game on this list that ships while TGS is still fresh. Everything else on the board is a 2026 holiday release or a 2027 title.
Kingdom Hearts IV and the Switch 2 question
Kingdom Hearts IV appearing on the booth board with Switch 2 among its listed platforms is the detail that will travel furthest, and it matches the late 2027 window already attached to the game. Square Enix has not said the game is playable at the show, and it is not on the demo list, so treat it as a presence on the lineup rather than a hands-on. Two mobile titles round out the board. Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest Smash/Grow are both live on iOS and Android, which puts phone players in the lineup rather than off to one side - a rarity for a Square Enix show booth. How this fits the rest of the show
Square Enix is not the only publisher with a schedule locked in. Capcom's own pre-show broadcast is set for the day before the doors open, as covered in our piece on the Capcom Spotlight start time ahead of TGS.
Two of the games on the booth already have a foot in the market.
