Silent Hill: Townfall PC Requirements Start at RTX 2060 Super and 75GB, With PS5 Features Confirmed
Silent Hill: Townfall PC requirements start at an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super or AMD Radeon RX 6600, 16GB of RAM and 75GB of free storage, according to the game's Steam listing. That minimum spec targets Low settings at 1080p and 30fps, and the game arrives on PS5 on September 24, with the Steam page listing September 23.
The timing matters because Konami has just walked through the PS5 version's features, including ray-traced lighting, 3D audio and DualSense support. Below is everything confirmed for both platforms, what each edition costs, and how early the Deluxe Edition unlocks.

What are the Silent Hill Townfall PC requirements?
Both tiers ask for a 64-bit copy of Windows 11 and DirectX 12. Windows 10 is not listed. Storage is 75GB at either tier, so plan space before the pre-load window opens.
- Minimum: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i7-8700K, 16GB RAM, RTX 2060 Super or Radeon RX 6600, 75GB storage. Target: Low settings, 1080p, 30fps.
- Recommended: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X or Intel Core i7-9700K, 32GB RAM, RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 7800 XT, 75GB storage. Target: High settings at 4K and 30fps, using DLSS, FSR or TSR in Balanced mode.
Two things stand out. The recommended tier doubles the memory to 32GB, which is still uncommon in mid-range builds. And even the recommended target is 30fps, not 60, with upscaling switched on. Konami has not published a 60fps spec sheet, so players on a 144Hz monitor should expect to tune settings themselves.
For comparison, Onimusha: Way of the Sword's PC requirements asked for 50GB and an SSD earlier this month, so Townfall is the heavier install of the two.
Which PS5 features does Silent Hill: Townfall use?
Series producer Motoi Okamoto and the team at developer Screen Burn outlined the PS5 version on the official PlayStation Blog. The confirmed list:
- Ray-traced lighting for the town's fog and for how the flashlight and other light sources react to the environment.
- 3D audio for ambient sound and creature positioning, so you can place threats by ear with headphones.
- Haptic feedback on weapon swings, trigger pulls and nearby enemy footsteps.
- Adaptive triggers tuned to give each weapon its own resistance.
- Motion controls for aiming and adjusting the CRTV, the handheld device that replaces the series' classic radio. Motion input can be customised.
Sony's post did not give resolution or frame-rate figures for the base PS5 or PS5 Pro, and it did not mention a PS5 Pro enhanced label. Treat any performance numbers circulating for the console version as unconfirmed until Konami publishes them. Konami's last Silent Hill release needed follow-up work on Sony's hardware, as our coverage of Silent Hill 2 patch 1.07 on PS5 Pro showed.
How much does Silent Hill: Townfall cost?
On Steam in the US, the Standard Edition is $49.99 and the Deluxe Edition is $59.99. Konami publishes the game with Annapurna Interactive.
- Standard Edition ($49.99): the full game, plus the pre-order cosmetic CRTV Style: Rusted.
- Deluxe Edition ($59.99): the full game, a Bonus Application holding a digital artbook and digital soundtrack, the alternate outfit for protagonist Simon Ordell, the Rusted CRTV cosmetic, and 48 hours of advance access.
The advance access means Deluxe owners on Steam can start playing two days before the standard unlock. Published reports put the equivalent PS5 early start at September 22. Konami notes that the artbook and soundtrack live inside the bonus app and cannot be downloaded as separate files.
What is the game about?
Townfall is a first-person entry in the series. Simon Ordell returns to the island town of St. Amelia to put things right, and the game mixes evasion, combat and puzzle-solving, with the CRTV used to scout monsters and work through puzzles. It supports 13 languages on PC, with full English audio.
