Cricket Wireless APN Settings for Android (Official 2026 Values)

Aditya Singh

Cricket Wireless APN settings for Android are these: Name Internet, APN endo, MMSC http://mmsc.mobile.att.net, MMS proxy proxy.mobile.att.net, port 80, type default, mms, fota, hipri, supl, protocol IPv4/IPv6.

That list is from Cricket’s own Bring Your Own Android page (checked 21 August 2026), not a random APN dump. An APN is the name your phone uses to reach Cricket’s data network. If web pages or picture texts broke after you put in a Cricket SIM, this is the fix.

A Cricket SIM only works after the phone has the right APN. Most BYOD phones need this list entered once.

Cricket uses AT&T towers. The APN is still Cricket’s, not AT&T’s. Do not type NXTGENPHONE or other AT&T postpaid names. Those break Cricket data.

One APN for LTE and 5G. Cricket does not have a separate 5G APN. If you have bars but no 5G icon, that is a phone or coverage limit, not a missing APN.

Try Cricket’s config texts first

Cricket’s BYOD page says many phones get two messages after the SIM activates: Internet Service and MMS Service. That is faster than typing.

  1. Open Messages. Look for the two Cricket config texts.
  2. If a message has Install, tap it.
  3. If not, pull down the notification tray, tap the configuration / envelope notice, then Install, then OK.
  4. Install both Internet and MMS. Restart.

No texts after five minutes on a BYOD phone? Skip this. Enter the table by hand. Do not sit there waiting.

How to enter Cricket APN settings on Android

Pixel (including Pixel 10)

  1. Open Settings > Network & internet > Internet.
  2. Tap the gear next to Cricket, or open SIMs / Mobile network.
  3. Tap Access Point Names.
  4. Tap + or New APN. Fill the official table.
  5. Save. Select the new APN. Restart, or toggle Airplane Mode for 20 seconds.

Samsung Galaxy

  1. Open Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Access Point Names.
  2. Tap Add. Enter the same values. Save.
  3. Select the new APN. Restart.

Motorola, OnePlus, Xiaomi

Path is Settings > Network & internet > Mobile network > Access Point Names (sometimes under Advanced). Same values. Same save and reboot.

Cannot find the screen? Search Settings for APN. Delete leftover AT&T or Verizon APNs only if the three-dot menu lets you. If Delete is missing, add Cricket’s APN and select it. Do not fight a locked stock profile.

Why so many sites still list Aio Wireless

Cricket bought Aio Wireless years ago. The APN name endo survived that merger. So did the old MMS hosts mmsc.aiowireless.net and proxy.aiowireless.net. Those still sit on thousands of phones.

Cricket’s current BYOD page now uses AT&T’s MMS hosts instead. That is the list we put first. If official values save, but picture texts still fail, try this older set without changing the APN name:

  • MMSC: http://mmsc.aiowireless.net
  • MMS proxy: proxy.aiowireless.net
  • MMS port: 80
  • Keep APN as endo and keep the same APN type string.

Some phones accept Endo with a capital E. Cricket’s page uses lowercase. If save fails or data never starts, try the other case. Do not change anything else while you test that.

Skip these: ndo, IMS, random APN apps

First-page APN sites look longer because they paste every historic Cricket row. That is not better. It is how people break a working line.

  • ndo is a typo of endo that still shows up on copy-paste APN sites. Do not type ndo.
  • IMS and XCAP are system profiles Android often creates on its own. Do not add them by hand unless Cricket support tells you to.
  • mht with APN type dun shows up on APN.how as a hotspot APN. Cricket’s official page does not list it. Try it only if phone data works and hotspot still fails after you confirm the plan includes hotspot.
  • Play Store “APN settings” apps are not from Cricket. They ask for carrier permissions you should not give a random APK. Type the table yourself.

Data works but MMS fails — or the reverse

Do not reset the whole phone yet. Match the symptom.

APN type must be one line with commas and no spaces: default, mms, fota, hipri, supl. Missing mms kills pictures. Missing hipri can throttle tethering on some phones.

Hotspot, dual SIM, and 5G notes

  • Hotspot uses the same endo APN on most Cricket lines. If hotspot fails after data works, the plan is the usual cause. Confirm hotspot in the Cricket app before you add an unofficial mht / dun profile.
  • Dual SIM is fine. Set the Cricket APN under the Cricket SIM only. Leave the other SIM alone.
  • eSIM uses the same values as a plastic SIM.
  • After a big Android update, open the APN screen once. Some updates drop a custom APN back to a generic one.

The APN screen is grayed out

Locked fields mean the phone still thinks it belongs to another carrier, or Cricket pushed a read-only profile.

  1. Confirm the phone is unlocked. If you bought it from AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile, ask that carrier for the unlock first.
  2. Reseat the SIM. Wait two minutes. Open APN again.
  3. Tap the three-dot menu and try Reset to default, then add Cricket’s APN again.
  4. Reset network settings: Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth (Samsung: General management > Reset). You will rejoin Wi-Fi after this.
  5. If the fields stay locked on a BYOD phone, Cricket support has to push a fresh profile. An APN you cannot edit cannot be forced.

Still no data after a clean APN? Boost Mobile owners have the same SIM-swap mess — our Boost Mobile APN settings for Android walk through that carrier’s two-network trap. If the phone also reboots when the radio drops, see why an Android phone keeps restarting.

Reset the APN to default first if you made a mess

If you have already typed and retyped values, stop. On the Access Point Names screen, tap the three-dot menu and choose Reset to default. Restart. On many phones that alone restores Cricket’s carrier profile and you never need the table. Only add a manual APN if data is still dead after the reset.

Using Cricket on an iPhone instead?

iOS hides the APN screen on Cricket. Go to Settings > General > About, accept the carrier settings update if one appears, then Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. That pulls the Cricket profile automatically. The Android table above is not used on iPhone.

Bottom line

Type Cricket’s official endo APN, save it, select it, and reboot. Use AT&T MMS hosts first. Fall back to the old Aio hosts only if pictures still fail. Do not copy AT&T postpaid APNs. If the screen is locked, unlock the phone before you fight the settings.

Next step: open a web page on mobile data, then send yourself a photo text. If both work, you are done. If only one works, jump back to the symptom table and change that one field.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the Cricket Wireless APN settings for Android?

Use Name Internet, APN endo, MMSC http://mmsc.mobile.att.net, MMS proxy proxy.mobile.att.net, MMS port 80, MCC 310, MNC 150, APN type default, mms, fota, hipri, supl, and APN protocol IPv4/IPv6. Leave proxy, username, and password blank. These values come from Cricket's Bring Your Own Android support page.

Why is the Cricket APN called endo?

Endo is leftover from Aio Wireless, the prepaid brand AT&T folded into Cricket. The network still expects that name. Typing Cricket or internet in the APN field is a common miss and often kills data even when the SIM is active.

Do I need a different Cricket APN for 5G?

No. The same endo APN handles 4G LTE and 5G. To get 5G you need a 5G phone, 5G turned on in network mode, a plan that includes 5G, and a Cricket 5G area. The APN does not switch when the icon changes.

Why does my Cricket phone have data but no picture messages?

MMS uses MMSC, MMS proxy, port 80, and mms inside APN type. If any of those is wrong, web data can still work. Recheck those four fields. If they match Cricket's AT&T hosts and pictures still fail, try the older Aio Wireless MMSC and proxy.

The APN settings on my Android phone are grayed out. What now?

The phone is likely still carrier-locked, or Cricket pushed a read-only profile. Unlock it with the store that sold it, reseat the SIM, then try Reset to default on the APN screen. If fields stay locked, Cricket support has to push a new profile. You cannot type over a locked APN.

Should I use Endo or endo?

Cricket's official page uses lowercase endo. Many older phones already have Endo with a capital E and still work. If a new APN will not save or data never starts, try the other case and leave every other field the same.

Is the Cricket APN ndo or endo?

Use endo. Some APN dump sites list ndo as a subscriber-verified profile. That is a misspelling of endo, not a second official APN. Typing ndo is a common reason data never starts after you follow a random table.

Should I install an APN settings app for Cricket?

No. Cricket does not publish an APN app. Play Store APN setters are not from Cricket and often ask for carrier permissions you should not grant. Install Cricket's config texts if they arrive, or type the official table yourself.

Do I need separate IMS, XCAP, or hotspot APNs on Cricket?

Usually no. Android may create IMS on its own. Cricket's official BYOD page lists one Internet APN. Add a hotspot mht profile with type dun only if phone data already works, the plan includes hotspot, and tethering still fails.

How do I reset Cricket APN settings to default on Android?

Open Access Point Names, tap the three-dot menu, choose Reset to default, then restart. This restores the carrier profile. Only enter the manual table if data is still dead after the reset.

Does the Cricket APN work on iPhone?

No, the APN screen is hidden on iPhone for Cricket. Accept the carrier settings update under Settings > General > About, then reset network settings. iOS installs the Cricket profile on its own.
