The eight playable characters make up Dead True, a fake ghost-hunting YouTube crew — a setup that lets Firesprite start the story with a group who are already performing fear before anything real happens.

The announced cast includes Dacre Montgomery as Owen, Camila Senna as Mina, Spence Moore II as Nate, Sarah Catherine Hook as Izzy and Gia Kim as Yoona. Sony's stated pitch is the same branching structure the first game ran on: any of the eight can die, and the choices compound.
