Flip8 is a modest yearly clamshell: Snapdragon in the US at last, a better cover-screen UI, same battery, $100 more. If the cover screen is why you buy a flip, pay $1,199.99 and skip Good Lock. If you want the form factor for less, last year's Flip7 at street prices around $849 is the value play. Razr Ultra (2026) at $1,499.99 still wins cover-software polish and charging speed.

The US Flip8's real upgrade over Flip7 is the chip: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 instead of Exynos 2500, which is why AnTuTu jumps from ~1.51M to ~1.82M. Cover UI is more customisable out of the box. Battery capacity does not move.
Razr Ultra (2026) is $1,499.99 with a 7-inch 165Hz inner, 4-inch cover, Snapdragon 8 Elite, 5,000mAh, and 68W charging. It is the better flip if money is secondary. Flip8 is the Samsung-software, seven-year-update, $300-cheaper alternative.
